The topic I have selected for this semester is “about me”. I made this choice because of the fact that it’s easy to talk about yourself and since I am me, I know everything about myself. I plan on collecting original materials such as photos, audio recordings, and video footage by either creating them myself, looking them up on the internet and properly citing them on my blog, or simply asking my family. I know that my family has some photos of me during my childhood that I could probably use for my topic this semester.
This topic will be something personal and I believe it will be something easy to talk about. I could throw a little bit of myself in every single project I will have to do for this semester. Even the logo I will have to create for the blog will have something about me and only me in it. It will be something that describes me and no one else. The video and audio project will all be about me as well and I will have to narrate them myself. It will be very personal.
Things such as audio recordings and video footage I will have to create when the times comes to get that part of the project done. I don’t exactly know the specifications for most of the projects that we will have to do this semester, but based on the titles of those project I have some ideas.
For the logo project I’m planning on creating something simple such as a bamboo stick that is writing something or possibly a touchscreen pen with highlighted writing on paper. I could even make the pen sort of look like a light saber and that will make it go really well with the brightly highlighted writing. The background of this pen/bamboo stick/light saber design would probably have to be a book or maybe an X made out of papyrus.
For the video project I’m planning something kind of different. Now, I don’t exactly know the details for the project just yet, but I’m planning on using a drone, that is if I manage to find one or borrow one with a camera. I will most likely use this drone to tell some sort of story on campus and I will use it in large places such as the stadium where I could easily fly it.
I’m hoping to turn this blog into something that resembles all these other ones. Why? It’s because these blogs look very clean and professional. They push me to better myself as well as this website. It gives me a goal and a point that I can try to reach for this blog.
